The rubber-steel gaskets consist of a dimensionally stable steel insert that is completely coated with an elastomer and vulcanized in using an adhesion promoter. This inseparable connection guarantees maximum stability, prevents the seal from slipping or blowing out and enables reliable sealing – even under changing pressure and temperature conditions. Rubber-steel gaskets offer decisive advantages, particularly in applications with limited bolt forces and high sealing requirements. They reliably compensate for flange unevenness and surface roughness and ensure permanently low leakage rates. The gaskets from our partner Kroll & Ziller GmbH & Co KG have been verifiably tested for use on plastic flanges – and achieve excellent leakage values in accordance with DIN EN 13555 from a surface pressure of just 2 MPa. Application-specific elastomer qualities are available for the various areas of use. <\/span><\/p>

  • EPDM – for universal applications<\/span><\/li>
  • EPDM EL – for applications in the drinking water sector (with DVGW type examination certificate)<\/span><\/li>
  • EPDM PW – peroxide cross-linked, with increased chemical resistance<\/span><\/li>
  • NBR – for gas and water applications in accordance with DIN EN 682 and applications with 100% hydrogen in accordance with ZP5101<\/span><\/li>
  • FKM – for high thermal and chemical resistance<\/span><\/li>
  • NR – Natural rubber for applications with high elasticity and moderate media resistance<\/span><\/li>
  • CSM – for applications with high resistance to ozone, weathering and chemicals<\/span><\/li>

    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA stuffing box packing usually consists of a variety of braided yarns made of different materials such as aramid, PTFE, graphite or other high-performance fibers, which are selected for the specific application. The combination of different materials in conjunction with a wide variety of braiding types makes it possible to optimize specific properties such as thermal resilience, chemical resistance and general friction behaviour. \n\nStuffing box packings are mainly used in dynamic applications and are installed in pumps, valves and mixing and kneading machines, among other things.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Sealing tapes made of ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) can be used universally. Apart from the chemical resistance of PTFE, the tapes are particularly suitable for all flange types in the force main seal in the case of very large flange dimensions, severe unevenness in the flange surface or complex geometries. The sealing tapes provide simple sealing solutions or quick repairs in the event of gasket failure. The attached self-adhesive film also makes installation easier.     Metal\/soft material gaskets are a combination of various materials. The metal serves as a carrier material with different characteristics. Soft materials such as graphite, PTFE or mica are used in combination with the metal carrier as a sealing material.     Classic boiler gaskets – also known as hand, head and manhole gaskets – are made from heat-resistant fabrics treated with elastomers and are available in both round and oval shapes. The diagonal cut of the fabric and the careful design in one piece ensure optimum sealing even at high pressures and temperatures in typical internal pressure-loaded sealing systems. Due to the increasing internal pressure in the boiler or tank, the gasket is subjected to the necessary pressure and thus adapts perfectly to the sealing system. Our boiler seals made of fabric or rubber are calendered, pressed and graphitized.
