Packing rings

Our pure graphite packing rings are made of expanded and flexible graphite with a purity of 98 % up to nuclear quality of 99.85 % and are pre-pressed in densities of 1.3 to 1.8 g/cm³. After installation, they are pressed into permanently elastic sealing rings simply by applying pressure. The ready-to-install packing rings offer optimum safety and unsurpassed tightness for an extremely wide range of applications and are durable and low-maintenance. They enable reliable sealing for almost all media in a temperature range from -200 to 550 °C and can withstand pressure loads of up to 250 bar.

Their ability to withstand thermal and mechanical stress qualifies them for applications where high temperatures and pressure conditions prevail, and they retain their physical properties even under extreme operating conditions. They are also characterized by their high flexibility and increased adaptability to different gap widths. They are used in particular for sealing pumps, valves and other equipment in high-pressure fittings for power plants and in chemical and petrochemical plants.

Our Polish subsidiary, which specializes in this type of gasket, manufactures the packing rings from pure graphite. The rings can be manufactured in various product shapes. For example, we offer products with a full square cross-section and alternatively beveled on the inner or outer diameter.
